LADYBUGS AND FRIENDS - card challenge

It has been quite a while but today I took some time to create a card. I followed the sketch from Ladybug and Friends to join in on their sketch challenge.

This is the sketch:

And this is my take on it:

As you can see I turned the sketch around a bit, it felt better this way :-)

Thanks for looking!

Blog Candy - all the things I love

There are many fab cardmakers in 'blogland' but the blog I always check is: All the things I love by Bev Rochester. The cards she makes are just stunning and I can not believe just how many she creates!

She now has a great giveaway on her blog to celebrate her 2nd bloganniversary (CONGRATS!) and ofcourse I want to join in and dream of winning those yummie goodies....

* * *

VROLIJK PASEN / HAPPY EASTER

I made an Easter card, just for fun. I never send cards for Easter, but hey,
my sister's birthday in on 5th April so that might as well be a card with
an Easter theme I thought.....

Hier is 'tie/Here it is:

The image is one of Magnolia's Easter stamps, lovely isn't it? The papers are a few years old, cannot remember what brand. I recently bought the heart-shaped hat-pin decoration...

A new layout - 3.11 sketch challenge Sketchy Thursdays

Recently I joined Sketchy Thursdays challenge by creating a card and I felt like joining in once again, with a layout this time. It's my second layout this week (and to think that I haven't done any real scrapbooking over the last 6 months.... that's pretty amazing!).

It's a sketch challenge and this is the sketch:

And here's my take on the sketch:

My DS#2 is crazy about soccer. We agreed he would join the local soccer club last August, when he turned 6, but swimming lessons on the same weekday got in the way (obligatory in The Netherlands, with all the rivers and canals). But, on March 2nd, he finally had his first soccer practice - he couldn't wait!!!

Layout: only used some basics, really. Kraft and cardstock. To create the background on the kraft paper I used a stamp from Pink Gem Designs.

Eindelijk weer eens een layout - The Scrappiest sketch

It has been quite a while but today I decided it was time to create a layout. I chose the sketch from The Scrappiest to work with. Monique gave me that idea by showing her layout on her blog (as she's a DT member). Loved working with the sketch.

Here's my entry:

It's about my DS#1 celebrating his 10th birthday a couple of weeks ago.

Copics Creations challenge 23 - a whee bit o'green

Always fun, those challenges over at Copics Creations!

A whee bit of green..... I counted my green copic markers and I came to the enormous number of..... 3 :(

Furthermore, I made it even more difficult as I wanted to use one of the great digital images I won recently by joining challenge on Sketchy Thursdays, the so-called Some Odd Girl digital designs.. They are so cute! The image I chose doesn't leave much room for green (only a t-shirt LOL!), ....... so I decided to fool around a little and came up with a green card - wishing you Love & Peace.

Here's my entry for the challenge:

I have to see that the colours are brighter than you can see on the pic above... sorry about that. Don't you just love this girl? I do!

Hier is 't ie:

Copic Creations challenge 22 - coloring embellishments / easter theme

Copic Creations new challenge is to color your embellishments with copics and make an Easter/Spring card.....
I never really used my copics in this way, but it's a great idea. The copic ink goes onto (grey)board, fabric and even on pearls and rhinestones.

So here's my entry and I'll tell you what I did:

The large flowers had a very bold designprint and were leftovers. The small flowers are fabric flowers and were white, the brads were light blue and green. The lace is a left over piece of sticker-lace and used to be white....

Had fun creating this card. Thanks for the challenge.

Sugar Nellie Challenge 29 - Tiets sketch

I used the Dutch boy digital stamp from Sugar Nellie before and wanted to use it again today for their Sugar Bowl Challenge, BUT I didn't want to make a card that looked like the last ones I made ..... it took quite some time but then I knew it - a nostalgic 50s style! And guess what; the image and papers came together effortlessly (love that!).

So here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

The please include option this challenge: 3 flowers, 2 brads and 1 button.

Image: digital image Dutch boy from Sugar Nellie
Papers: bazzill, Tilda
The flowers were a gift from Renata long long time ago (thanks again, they fit perfectly!)

Some Odd Girl Challenge on Sketchy Thursdays

Monique visits Sketchy Thursdays regularly and said I should really take a look at the Some Odd Girl challenge.....

I did. And she was right. I immediately felt like making a card using the sketch and Some Odd Girls Freebie Heart Kaylee. Love her. She is fun and cute!

I took out my Tilda papers and some kraft (love that combo) and here's my entry:

Copic Creations Challenge 21 - feather blending

A clean and simple card. However, it looks like a simple one but the 21st Challenge on the Copic Creations Challenge Blog was a rather difficult one - blending colours!

I love this challenge blog as it really gets you to try something different each time. So this time I tried to blend red and yellow..... and this is the result and my entry:

Same papers...... another three cards

After making my entry card for the Sugar Bowl Challenge I never took the effort to clean up my desk and as all stuff was still laying around...... I figured I might as well make same more cards!

So here we go, same papers, new cards:

with the same stamp as last card, Gorjuss girl sitting from Sugar Nellie

And the 2nd one:

The Sarah Kay image was a gift from Mieke, thanks! She's lovely isn't she?!

And the 3rd card I made:

This is actually a Digistamp I bought from Sugar Nellie and it's called Dutch Boy. I bought it because I have so little boy stamps and I love the old fashioned Dutch style, but only until colouring the image I realized just how cute he is.

Think I'll clean up my desk today so it might take a while before I'm back :)

Sugar Bowl Challenge 28, long time no see!

Long time indeed, 5 months! Don't ask me why.... life just got in the way ;)

I suddenly felt like making a card again and checking the Sugar Nellie & Sugar Bowl sites for inspiration I decided to join in again.... woohoo!
So here's my entry:

Stamp: Sugar Nellie's Gorjuss Girl Sitting (one of my fav's)

Papers: Bazzill + Tilda for all the design papers & sentiment

Embel: Border punch Fiskars, flower from stack, pearls ribbon I found at the
local market and I love it, and the 'please include option' LACE.

As I didn't want to cut this cute gorjuss girl into 4 pieces (LOL) I decided to create 4 squares behind her. Love those Tilda papers, don't you?

Really enjoyed myself. Glad I finally got around to craft again!
